in Weight Loss - My Journey

Well, since the last time that I posted about gaining all of my weight back, I have started a high protein diet. I have done a lot of research on the web and decided this would be the best and fastest way to drop the fat.

I have had and used the first of the Protein Power Plan courses for a while. I just ordered the The Protein Power Lifeplan book Michael R. Eades and Mary Dan Eades. I know from past experience that a high protein very low carbohydrate diet works for me. I have been on it for the last 5 days, and lost 5 pounds already.

I will on average lose one pound a day as long as I stay very strict about the carbs and do not over eat the protein. I do eat at least 3 cups of salad a day, also for a snack will have 1 or 2 stocks of celery. This makes sure that I get plenty of fiber. I also take a vitamin pill, 2-99mg potassium tablets and one fish oil gel cap.

I also looked over the Atkins site and took note of what they have to say there also. They, I think are not as tight with eating the fat as is the protein Power plan. Furthermore, they say to eat as much protein as you want to. That will not work for me. I will stick with the lower fat high protein scenario. All the animal fat cannot be that good for you is what I am thinking. My meat is well trimmed. I do eat a lot of eggs, and I eat the yokes with them.

I have to restrict my calories really low; about 1000 a day is max for me to lose weight. I also have at least one serving of protein powder drink mix to boost up my protein intake. It has only 110 calories when mixed in water, but gives me an added 24-gram of protein for my weight lifting.

I am also starting to add more lifting exercises to my routine. I still can get all of my lifting done in about 15 to 20 minutes a day. I am only working my major muscle groups once a week for now.

I got a copy of this for less than $8.00 used. That included shipping!
