I had the following:
Vegetable Juice, 2 apples, 5 carrots, 1/4 beet and broccoli
salmon 2 small cans
apples 1
almonds 10
protein drinks 2
2 eggs with 1/2 of a small tomato and onion and 1 piece of bacon
Milky way candy bar
squid soup med bowl
mango paste 2 small pieces
I caved in for my usual after lunch snack. Also should have not eaten the mango past either, but one is only human. But as the weight starts to come off should also give me a push to stay on track and eat what is better than that is not. But I am still eating a lot less of the crap that I was before I started this life style change.
In my younger days I could eat anything that I wanted and not gain an once. But as all things goes, nothing is for ever, time to cut back the food intake and do a better job at what I pick to eat.
I also lifted weights today and walked fast on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I have started to change my lifting from the start up given in the Fit Over 40 book. I have added more sets and also some more exercises.
I have through my life have lifted on and off. The last time I lifted was about 6 years ago and I did not really lose any weight. I bought a Bowflex Power Pro to make weight change a little easier. I also was single then and set it up in my living room. With it and free weights I managed to get some muscle on. But I still had a belly. Now it is time to get ride of it.
My waste is now at 42 inches. I have dropped 2 inches off of it. The food change and weight training are starting to show some progress.
