Here it is one month of watching my eating ( for the most part) and working out by lifting weights and walking fast on the tread mill. Plus my wife and I go for peddle bike rides several times a week.
This morning I weighed in at179 pounds. Yes finely in the 170s. This makes one small goal made. My calorie intake today was 1158 for a total. I ate the following today.
Vegetable Juice
2 eggs with 1 and 1/2 strips of bacon
1 Apple
Protein drink
2 Small cans of Salmon
2 Stocks of Celery
20 Almonds
1 medium sized carrot
Spicy Sardine dip with vegetables
1 Corn on the cob
I also lifted weights and walked fast for 20 minutes on the treadmill.
As I mentioned earlier, I made one of my small goals by weighing in at 179 pounds. To make my main goal of a certain weight by a certain time, I always break the goal down into smaller portions. This way I get to see some kind of achievement made by accomplishing a goal.
The goal my be a small portion of a larger one, but I get the feeling of accomplishment by achieving it. I find that it keeps me excited and wanting to accomplish more.
This beats the feeling of, I am only a third to my goal. Man I have two thirds to go yet! It is much better breaking big goals into several smaller ones. It also helps in keeping self destructive thought down to a minimum.
