in Weight Loss - My Journey

July 28, 2009 Tuesday

My weight this morning was 179 pounds even. I am stuck at the high 170s as you can see. I think maybe I am maybe a little sloppy on figuring my calorie intake. I do not think that I am gaining muscle at the same rate as the fat I am losing. I am down 3 inches on my waist at my navel. I also notice that my paints are fitting just a little looser with my belt down one notch.

I am not really lifting as hard as I could be either. I am making good gains in reps and strength. I could in all  honesty knock out 1 more rep per exercise, but I do not want to burn myself out on lifting weights. This is what has happened to me in the past. I would made good gains and build up some muscle and lose interest.

This time around I will stay in shape and just not hit the weights as hard as I did before. But I have to watch closer what I am eating. I should cut out all white flower. I have gotten used to getting peanut butter cracker out of the snack machine at work. Yes they are only 190 calories but they at least add carbohydrates for my body to burn for fuel, instead on it burning fat.

Here is a list of what I ate today for a total intake of 1319 calories:

Vegetable Juice

1 Sausage on 1 piece of Fifteen Grain Bread

1 small carrot

1 Protein Drink

Salad with Salmon

20 Almonds

6 Peanut Butter Crackers

6 oz Fried Fish in Red Curry with peppers and long Beans

15 Cherries

10 oz Watermelon

As you can see by this list there are several things that I should not have had. Cracks for one and either the cherries or watermelon. No sense in over loading.
