in Weight Loss - My Journey

My wife and I ate our Thanksgiving meal with family this year. There was turkey and all the side dishes to go with it. My wife is Thai, and she added some Thai dishes to go with the rest of the feast. Needless to say there was plenty of food.

So did I eat everything in front of me like normal? And did I need a crane to get my stuffed ass out of the chair? I would have to say yes to the first statement, but I could get out of my chair under my own power.

Being on a high protein diet with next to no carbs was broken on this day. But! I did not stuff myself, and I ate the largest volume of my food was turkey. I did have two to three bites of most of the side dishes, passing on the largest sugared thing on the table, sweet potatoes. I did have one very small slice of each of the two pies.

Did I gain any weight because of my Thanksgiving meal? Yes about two pounds. This was due to salt more than anything else. However, I am sure the pies did not help. But as of now I have all the gained weight off. So I would have to say that it was not too bad of a setback.

My high protein ultra low carbohydrate diet for now is to lose the fat I carry now. However, once the fat is gone, I will start to add some good carbs in until my weight stabilizes out. White flower and sugar are the worst food products for us by everything that I have been reading. Salt is another killer too. Nevertheless, anyone that has battled fat loss knows this.

I guess my point with this post is that if I am to lose the fat I carry, I will have to change the way I eat from here on out, as I have said a thousand times. But just maybe, I have gotten it through to my brain this time around.
